{"id":5855,"date":"2025-06-10T15:06:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T15:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.devengo.com\/?page_id=5855"},"modified":"2025-06-10T15:06:18","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T15:06:18","slug":"client-funds-protection-and-safeguarding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.devengo.com\/en\/client-funds-protection-and-safeguarding\/","title":{"rendered":"Client Funds Protection and Safeguarding"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Information about our safeguarding method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Devengo S.L. is a company registered in Spain with company number B-88353412, authorized and regulated by the Bank of Spain as a Payment Institution (Entity Registration Number 6940) for the provision of payment services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chosen safeguarding method: Segregated accounts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with Article 21 of Royal Decree-Law 19\/2018 and Article 16 of Royal Decree 736\/2019, Devengo has opted for the segregated accounts method to protect client funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How We Protect Your Funds<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>For you as a client, this means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Full segregation<\/strong>: The funds you receive from your users or that we manage on your behalf are kept completely separate from Devengo\u2019s own funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Insolvency protection<\/strong>: In the event of financial difficulties at Devengo, these funds are protected against claims from other creditors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Technical features of our segregated accounts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Held in <strong>authorised credit institutions<\/strong> in Spain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operated as <strong>demand deposits<\/strong> to ensure immediate availability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Clearly identified<\/strong> as \u201cpayment institution client balances.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds are <strong>never mixed<\/strong> with Devengo\u2019s own funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Protected against claims<\/strong> from the payment institution\u2019s creditors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Unlimited Protection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike bank deposits, which are covered by the Deposit Guarantee Fund up to \u20ac100,000, as a payment institution we offer full protection of all funds with <strong>no limit on the amount<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This protection applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All funds received from payment service users.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds received through other payment service providers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds corresponding to transactions in progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds held by our agents (if applicable).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regulatory framework<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This protection is guaranteed by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Royal Decree-Law 19\/2018, of November 23, on payment services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Royal Decree 736\/2019, of December 20, on the legal regime of payment services and payment institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervision by the Bank of Spain as the competent authority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transparency and control<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This safeguarding method is registered in the Special Register of Payment Institutions of the Bank of Spain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is publicly disclosed in our contractual documentation and service terms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is subject to ongoing supervision by the Bank of Spain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For any questions about fund protection or our safeguarding method, you can contact us through our official customer service channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This information is provided in compliance with the transparency requirements set out in Article 16 of Royal Decree 736\/2019, on the legal regime of payment services and payment institutions.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Last updated:<\/strong> June 10, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Information about our safeguarding method Devengo S.L. is a company registered in Spain with company number B-88353412, authorized and regulated by the Bank of Spain as a Payment Institution (Entity Registration Number 6940) for the provision of payment services.&nbsp;
